Hysterectomy Halloween: Day 19 🎃

Day 18: Halloween! Yesterday was the first day I attempted anything at all other than laying in bed. We streamed Fortnite (I was in bed playing on my laptop while Trish was running the stream and playing in the stream room) for 4 hours from 1:30-5:30pm, and then decided last minute to go outside and hand out candy from 6-8pm. I basically had a full day of activities, as I did some cat makeup before the stream around 10:30am, as well. By the time 7pm rolled around we'd been about an hour into handing out candy and I was SORE. I think My abdominal soreness was on par with DAYS prior, maybe even a week or so. But honestly, I wouldn't change it. I had a blast playing in the Halloween maps in Fortnite for the last time this year and we were joined by a few friends as well. I'm so glad I had the energy to do that.

It's worth mentioning that last night was the VERY FIRST TIME we've ever handed out candy and decorated the back porch (technically/legally our front porch but it's got back porch vibes). We're always at a gig or a party for Halloween so it was absolutely amazing to just sit outside with some spooky ambiance with my person and just enjoy everyone's costumes. We saw probably 35-40 kids come through our street in the complex. It wasn't raining or snowing which is a huge win!

Before we went outside for trick or treating, I took the opportunity to take a few selfies, too.

I didn't feel PURRFECTLY fine yesterday but it was really lovely to pretend for about 7 hours. Trish made the evening's events really special by putting up additional decorations and making us some hot cider for sipping.

I won't lie... I was feeling REALLY rough last night after all that. I nearly took a Norco. But I settled for 2 Tylenol, which I will also be taking again when I eat lunch here soon.

I feel better this morning than I did last night, thank goodness, but it's still a small setback. In my opinion, it was 100000% worth it.
