Recovery Update Day #34
We are finally passed the one month marker and I can finally travel in a car again with minimal pain or discomfort! Yay! Good thing, too, as I need to get on a plane this Thursday!
As far as every day living, I'm feeling mostly ok. I'll pull something in my abdomen every once in a while but as long as I take everything slow, I seem to be alright. Even just taking one Tylenol seems to kill most of my pain nowadays. I'm not lifting much of anything at all and trying to just rest the majority of the time.
I've been streaming Fortnite here and there, and I've taken a few other small trips outside the house, but I'm hugely enjoying this time to not have to "work" constantly.
With that said, I do plan to stream music tomorrow (6/23) in an effort to get my 30-minute set together for Denver and test my stamina a little. I'd like to stream music or Fortnite again on Wednesday (6/25) but we'll see how my spoons pan out. I need every last bit of energy moving into this trip.
For those of you who don't know why I'm going to Denver this Thursday, see the attached flyer! It's a paid gig as well as a meetup of sorts. I've known all of these performers digitally for years through Twitch but have never met the majority of them! I'M SO EXCITED!! (Tickets are on sale at www.loudlyinclusive.com)
Anyway, I'm sure I'll be posting this week and also while we're in Denver, too. This may be my last "formal" update for well over a week based on my schedule. I want to stay accountable for myself since my surgeon specifically said it might take 3-4 months for me to feel any better or notice physical changes. So I feel like I shouldn't stop "blogging" just because it's been one month. I need to keep documenting, taking note of what medications or supplements are working (or not working) and I need to pay attention to how my body is changing along the way. I wish I'd done this with my first surgery back in 2013. But now is my chance to do it right and help others along the way by sharing this experience.
I'll continue updating on GoFundMe and my website (www.ebxerin.com/blog) but I may discontinue on other social media platforms. We'll see. But don't say I didn't tell you so :)
