Recovery Update Day #15

On the 2 week mark of my recovery (Monday 6/2), I FINALLY spent the whole day downstairs in our living room again! Stairs are still very uncomfortable so going upstairs to the bathroom is a bit of work.

I just really needed the scenary change if I could handle it.

Also yesterday, WE HIT THE GOFUNDME GOAL!!!!! I'm absolutely floored and speechless. Anyone who told a friend, shared on socials, participated in my Twitch event - THANK YOU. We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who donated or took the time to spread the word. I am eternally grateful for your kindness.

In other news, I'm off pain killers for now, taking one Tylenol sometimes before bed just to ensure I'll sleep better. But for the most part, I'd describe my pain as discomfort in my abdomen more than anything. When I move, I remember that I had surgery 2 weeks ago. Otherwise, if I'm just chilling in bed or on the couch, I have totally forgotten about the pain. It's mostly just gravity that's not my friend now, as my organs are more free to move around and settle. Whereas before, my organs were glued together by the endo lesions and couldn't move for *literal* decades. So that's fun. It's seems like holding my breath to come downstairs is really the only thing that helps with that.

I also decided that this year, a perfect way to celebrate pride while I'm unable to stream is to post videos about my favorite horror films (and maybe even series) that include queer representation. I've never been able to do a daily series like this before because life always gets in the way. But this year, I have no excuse or reason to be "slacking". So if you're interested, check days 1 and 2 out on my Instagram, Facebook or TikTok (they're too long for YouTube shorts). I'm going to try to go back and forth between newer and older films every day! It's been fun searching through my brain to find ones that might not be on people's radars to recommend. And if you have any recommendations, do tell! I definitely want to know! 🙂
